What are SafeLots?
Safe overnight parking is available for families or individuals experiencing homelessness and living in a passenger vehicle in the Denver metro area. A small number of RV/camper spaces are available as well. SafeLot guests have access to bathroom facilities, housing navigation, and other services.
Spaces are limited, and a permit is required for all safe parking sites

What do SafeLots provide?
Safety and Security
SafeLots conduct a background check on each adult and limits the number of permits available at each site.
SafeLots partner with local organizations, police departments, and emergency services to provide safety on-site at all times.
SafeLotshas a zero-tolerance policy for violence on-site.
Family and Pet Friendly
We strive to provide a safe place for families with children and/or pets to reside in their vehicles. Pets are allowed at all locations.
Family-friendly lots are in Arvada, Broomfield, and Commerce City.
SafeLots partner with county human services to help families transition out of homelessness.
Hygiene station
Each location has a port-a-potty and handwashing station that is regularly maintained. Select locations offer showers and hygiene products.
Community
Volunteers and case managers (at some locations) are dedicated to providing community to participants in the program. Participants often find community through their fellow ‘parkers’ while in the program as well.
Select locations offer weekly meals and have on-site food banks.
Case Management
Case Management is offered at some locations to help you navigate housing, resources, and personal goals.
Case management is voluntary and not required for participants.
When are SafeLots open?
SafeLots operate to provide overnight parking. All sites are open from 6pm-7am. Hours vary by site.
Where are SafeLots located?
CARS
Car-Only locations are currently in Arvada, Aurora, Broomfield, Commerce City, Denver, and Golden.
RV’S
There is a RV locations in Broomfield.
RV SafeLots accept RVs, trailers, and campers. RV sites do not provide electricity or sewage hookups. RV sites are overnight only and do not allow trailers, campers, or RVs to remain on-site outside of hours of operation.
